    Under the guidance of researcher Fan Zexin and associate researcher Fu Peili , Arisa Kaewmano , a doctoral student in the tree ring and environmental evolution group of the Banna Botanical Garden , cooperated with researchers from Germany, the Netherlands and Thailand to select the tropical tree species Toona ciliata as the research object.


     

    The related results, titled Climatic influences on intra-annual stem radial variations and xylem formation of Toona ciliataat two Asian tropical forest sites with contrasting soil water availability , were published in the forestry journal Agricultural and Forest Meteorology .


     

    This research was supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China International (regional) cooperative research and exchange projects, general projects, and Chinese Academy of Sciences projects .
