Original title: Western University has made important progress in the field of research in the lactose group
On March 10, the reporter learned from Northwestern University that Professor Wang Zhongfu's research team had made important progress in the field of research in the lactose group of sheep.
is one of the main biologically active ingredients of sheep's milk, and has the function of resisting pathogenic infection, promoting intestinal probiotic implantation and bacterial balance, immunomodulation and promoting growth and development. Sheep lactose is much higher in species and content than cow's milk, and is closer to the composition of human lactose. Due to the complex structure and limitation of means, the analysis of lactose separation in sheep is reported less. Professor Wang Zhongfu's research team used biomass spectromet technology and multi-stage series liquid combination technology to analyze and identify the sugar-type structure and composition of shaanxi Guanzhong's goat milk N/O-oligose group for the first time, and qualitatively and quantitatively compared the differences expressed in the N/O-oligose group of different fetal sheep." The results showed that: colliers N-olgosaccharides were complex sugar chains, of which algal glycosylation modification accounted for about 40%, with the extension of the tire, algal glycation levels and saliva acidification level gradually increased; This research lays the foundation for the next step to further clarify the structure-function relationship of sheep lactose, to build a database of sheep lactose, to control the quality of sheep dairy products and to develop products such as infant and elderly formula foods with sheep lactose as the functional factor, and to serve the economic and social development of the region.
the research was supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the Shaanxi Provincial High-Level Special Talent Support Program and the key laboratory construction project of Sugar Biology and Sugar Engineering in Xi'an.
