By carrying out SIL assessment work, it is possible to prevent under-design or over-design of safety instrumented systems, reduce process risks of production equipment, ensure personal and property safety, protect the environment, and improve the intrinsic safety level of equipment

In order to promote the SIL assessment work, Sinopec Group Corporation issued relevant management regulations and guidelines, requiring its subsidiaries to conduct safety instrumented system safety integrity level (SIL) assessments every three years for production facilities, and Implement rectification measures
