According to Liu Ximin, deputy director of the Yexian Animal Husbandry Bureau, since August last year, due to environmental pressure and the African swine fever epidemic, some farms with outdated equipment in Yexian have been suspended, and some farms have concentrated on selling live pigs.

Yexian is one of the first demonstration counties for the green development of animal husbandry in the country

Yexian County has set up inspection and disinfection stations at the entrances and exits of expressways and national and provincial trunk roads to inspect, register and disinfect transit vehicles involving animal husbandry 24 hours a day

Ye County regards prevention and control as an important opportunity to test the ability of epidemic prevention and control and promote the development of the animal husbandry industry

Last year, the national animal husbandry production situation declined as a whole, but the animal husbandry industry in Yexian County still maintained a steady and rapid development trend.

According to incomplete statistics, at present, there are more than 150 pig farms (households) in Yexian County that have 300 pigs or more than 500 pigs per year, and more than 2,500 free-range pig farms, with a total inventory of nearly 500,000 pigs
