    Luohe City is a famous food city with distinctive food processing industry


    It is understood that the school's food doctoral team visited Luohe twice in 2008 and 2013 to visit and investigate the company.


    Li Jingchao, Deputy Secretary-General of Luohe Municipal Government, expressed the hope that the two sides will further deepen cooperation and take advantage of the disciplinary advantages of Jiangnan University to fully develop the Luohe food industry, so as to achieve mutual benefit and win-win development

    In recent years, China's food industry has developed rapidly, basic research has been continuously deepened, independent innovation capabilities have been significantly enhanced, and the overall level of product quality has been significantly improved


      Jiangnan University is one of the most influential universities in the field of light industry and food in China


      In the summer of 2020, the doctoral group went to Congjiang, Guizhou, to provide scientific and technological assistance for the development and deep processing of local special agricultural and sideline products such as passion fruit and fragrant hemp, so as to promote industrial development and help poverty alleviation; in 2019, the doctoral group went to Xiamen, Fujian to " Topics such as rapid determination of the best steaming time for bird's nest", "development of new forms of bird's nest products", "analysis of storage characteristics of bird's nest" and "research on preparation of sialic acid with high functional properties from bird's nest fragments with low utilization rate", etc.


      In the past 20 years, team members have visited more than 200 food companies, covering 15 cities and counties in 12 provinces across the country, with a total mileage of 16,000 kilometers, solving more than 170 technical problems for enterprises
