Corticosteroid injections for the treatment of knee osteoarthritis are limited by the short duration of their therapeutic effects

The study, conducted at 13 sites, enrolled 75 patients with knee osteoarthritis who were randomly assigned to receive a single intra-articular injection of TLC599 or placebo to assess the efficacy and safety of the intervention for 24 weeks

Taken together, the results of this study demonstrate that in patients with symptomatic knee osteoarthritis, TLC599 provides durable pain relief and functional improvement while remaining satisfactory for a time period well beyond current treatment options.
