BMC Gastroenterology: The fatter people are more likely to get constipation!

Constipation is a real problem that affects many people all over the world, especially the elderly.

Researchers collected and analyzed baseline data from randomized clinical trials of adults with body mass index (BMI) ≥35 kg/m ² living in the metropolitan area of Goiânia, Brazil .

The results of the study showed that among 150 participants, the prevalence of constipation was 24.

This study found that the prevalence of constipation is high among obesity grade II and grade III adults.
