A total of 50 patients with Behcet's disease were included in the study and were randomized into two parallel groups: the first group received 980 nm diode laser treatment; the second group received topical corticosteroids (0.

The results showed that there were no statistically significant differences between the laser group and the corticosteroid group in the composite index and VAS score on days 1 and 3, and the number of ulcers on days 3 and 5, but both were significantly higher than baseline.

Taken together, the findings of this study suggest that diode lasers are an efficient and safe treatment modality for the treatment of Behçet's disease-related oral ulcers
