September has ended, in the past month, what clinical guidelines have been updated, so that doctors and friends can charge and start again?
Let's take a look at the September must-read guide of the summary of small drugs, and friends who want to get the original text can download the Clinical Decision Assistant App and get the original text

USPSTF: Statement of Recommendations for Prediabetes and Type 2 Diabetes Screening in Children and Adolescents (2022) The U.
S.
Preventive Medicine Task Force (USPSTF)
statement states that there is a lack of evidence on the impact of screening, early detection, and treatment of type 2 diabetes on adolescent health outcomes, and the balance of benefits and harms cannot be determined
。
NICE: Guidelines for the recognition, evaluation, and management of obesity (CG.
189) (2022) guidelines use body mass index (BMI)
percentiles and BMI SD to clinically define
overweight and obesity.
The guidelines state that children, adolescents and their parents or caregivers must obtain permission
before starting any discussion related to being overweight, obese or central obesity.
Professional judgment is required to determine the appropriate age for assessment, whether children or young people need to be involved, and BMI, waist circumference and waist height ratio can all be used to accurately predict or identify weight-related indicators
when adjusted for age and gender.
SIAMS/SIE: Clinical practice guidelines for adults and late-onset male hypogonadism (2022)
The clinical diagnosis of hypogonadism in adults should combine clinical and biochemical parameters
.
After ruling out possible contraindications, testosterone replacement therapy (TRT)
should be offered to all symptomatic hypogonadal participants.
Androgel and long-acting injectable testosterone are currently available formulations and have shown the best efficacy/safety
.
TRT can improve all aspects of sexual function, and although it has limited effectiveness in patients with complex conditions, body composition (reducing fat mass and increasing lean body mass) after TRT improves regardless of metabolic syndrome or type 2 diabetes
.
TRT can lead to increased bone mineral density, especially in the lumbar spine, but there is no information
on fracture risk.
In addition, limited data support the use of TRT to improve other outcomes, including emotional vulnerability and reduced
mobility.
TRT can improve sexual function and body composition, especially in adults with less complex conditions and in
older subjects with hypogonadism.
When hypogonadism was diagnosed, TRT was administered and participants were followed up, no short-term increased
risk of adverse events was observed.
Of course, longer and larger studies are recommended to better elucidate the long-term efficacy/safety
of TRT.
