    Researchers collected data on patients who underwent colorectal surgery in 8 hospitals in the Netherlands from 2011 to 2014.


     

     

    The results of the study showed that visceral fat was associated with anastomotic leakage in the elective colectomy group (n = 2011) (n = 359).
