    Background: Chronic stress from social stress or negative emotional stimuli can lead to psychological and physical manifestations such as anxiety, depression, and functional gastrointestinal disorders, and gut microbiota disturbances are also associated with these disorders

    The blood and cecal tissues of the animals were collected, and the expression of serum NLRP3 inflammasome and related inflammatory cytokines was detected by ELISA .

    Conclusion: SHD can reduce the cecal mucosal damage and improve depression and anxiety-like behaviors by regulating the cecal microbiota, inhibiting the over-activation of the NLRP3 inflammasome in the cecum and serum
