    A high-protection coating is prepared by dispersing polyphenylamine (PANI) nanowires into an epoxy-modified acetaldehyde-acetone (EMFA) resin substitum and then curing with phenolic amines.

    pure EMFA coating and EMFA/PANI coating have excellent flexibility and
    X-ray photoelectronic energy spectrum (XPS) tests have confirmed the formation of passivation layers (Fe2O3 / Fe3O4) on steel surfaces under a 1.0% PANI coating. Bending tests have shown that both the pure EMFA coating and the EMFA/PANI coating show excellent flexibility of 2 mm.
