It is imperative for enterprises to correctly label food additives on food labels, otherwise there will be operational risks

The food additives used in the product should be truthfully declared, but the establishment of a "food additive item" is not mandatory

First, all the specific names of food additives are marked

If two or more food additives with the same function are added to the food, they can choose to indicate their specific names respectively, or choose to indicate the functional category name first, and then add their specific name or international code (INS number) after

    Labeling of compound food additives

Each food additive that has a functional role in the final product should be listed in the food ingredient list

Labeling of Excipients in Food Additives

When the excipients contained in food additives do not function in the final product, they do not need to be declared in the ingredient list

    Labeling of enzyme preparations

If the enzyme preparation has lost its enzymatic activity in the final product, it does not need to be labeled; if the enzyme preparation still maintains the enzyme activity in the final product, it should be in accordance with the relevant regulations on the labeling of the food ingredients table, and the amount of enzyme preparation added when manufacturing or processing food , arranged in the corresponding position of the ingredient list

For processing aids, enzyme preparations, excipients, etc.

    Labeling of food nutritional supplements

Food nutrition fortifiers shall be labeled in accordance with the "Standards for the Use of Food Nutrient Enhancers" (GB 14880-2012) or the name announced by the original Health and Family Planning Commission

Ingredients that can be used as food additives or food nutrition fortifiers as well as other ingredients shall be labeled according to their function in the final product

When a nutritional fortifier is used as a food additive, the name specified in the "National Food Safety Standard for the Use of Food Additives" (GB 2760-2014) shall be declared; when used as a food nutritional fortifier, it shall be declared in the "Food Nutrition Fortification" The name specified in the "Standard for the Use of Agents" (GB 14880-2012); when it functions as other ingredients, its corresponding specific name should be indicated
