Recently, a research article was published in JAHA, an authoritative journal in the field of cardiovascular disease.
We searched electronic databases (MEDLINE, Embase, CENTRAL, Web of Science, and Scopus) and determined carotid intima-media thickness in individuals infected and uninfected with H.
The researchers found 13 studies that met the inclusion criteria for this systematic review and meta-analysis that provided data on carotid intima-media thickness taking into account H.
CONCLUSIONS : Helicobacter pylori infection is associated with increased carotid intima-media thickness
