Ulcerative colitis (UC) is one of the most common inflammatory bowel diseases worldwide, and although the etiology of UC remains uncertain, genetic and environmental factors are thought to be responsible for its occurrence

Using self-administered questionnaires, the researchers investigated information on smoking and potential confounders in 384 cases and 665 controls with a diagnosis
