    Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) is the most common functional gastrointestinal disorder (FGID) with unknown etiology, but female gender, dietary habits, and psychological factors have been identified as risk factors for the disea.

    To do this, the researchers enrolled 105 patients with IBS or functional gastrointestinal disease (FGID) into an SSRD intervention group or a no-intervention control group for 4 weeks according to Rome IV criter.


    The results of the study showed that the intake of micronutrients at baseline in patients with IBS was lower than that recommended by national guidelin.
