On September 22, 2022, a team of researchers Li Huabing of Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine/Shanghai Institute of Immunology, Professor Yi Chengqi of the School of Life Sciences of Peking University, Yuzhang Wu's team and Richard collaborated on Nature Immunology to publish a collaboration entitled tRNA-m1A modification promotes T cell expansion via efficient MYC A research paper on protein synthesis, which revealed that the m1A modification catalyzes the enzyme tRNA methyltransferase 61A (TRMT61A) by catalyzing the methylation of newly synthesized tRNA 58th digit adenine (m1A), accelerating the translation of a variety of key proteins after CD4+Tcell activation, ensuring CD4+ Rapid immune response
    of T cells.

TRMT61A-mediated tRNA-m1A58 modification is a "translation checkpoint" for CD4+ T cell activation and proliferation regulation

It is reported that Liu Yongbo, Zhou Jing, associate researcher and master student Shi Jintong of Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine, Li Xiaoyu, researcher of Zhejiang University School of Medicine, Zhang Xiaoting, doctoral student of School of Life Sciences of Peking University, are the co-first authors of this paper, Li Huabing of Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine, Professor Yi Chengqi of Peking University School of Life Sciences, Professor Wu Yuzhang of Army Military Medical University, and Professor Richard A.
