In the early morning of June 10, 2021, Xue Yuanchao's research group from the Institute of Biophysics, Chinese Academy of Sciences and his collaborators published an online publication entitled "Global profiling of RNA-binding protein target sites by LACE-seq" in the journal Nature Cell Biology .

The human genome encodes about 1500 RNA-binding proteins (RNA-binding proteins, RBP), which often regulate the processing, positioning, translation and stability of various RNA molecules in the cell by binding to specific motifs or structural elements on RNA molecules and so on

At present, the commonly used methods to identify RBP targets mainly include RIP-seq and CLIP-seq

The LACE-seq method can accurately identify the binding target of PTBP1 in a small amount of cells

Using the created LACE-seq method, the research team achieved the following research results: 1.

This work has been funded by the key research and development plan of the Ministry of Science and Technology, the National Natural Science Foundation of China and the pilot project of the Chinese Academy of Sciences
