Many common factors in chronic diseases, such as fatigue and depression, affect cognitive dysfunction (CD), but the impact of systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) disease activity on CD is unclear.

The study selected two groups of patients with systemic lupus erythematosus: stable phase/low activity phase (SLE-S, n = 36 cases) and active phase (SLE-F, n = 26 cases).
