A few days ago, the World Health Organization (WHO) updated its COVID-19 patient care guidelines to include interleukin-6 (IL-6) receptor inhibitors

The WHO press release stated that this is the first drug found to be effective against COVID-19 since the organization recommended corticosteroids in September 2020
