Correct understanding of fibromyalgia syndrome! Fibromyalgia syndrome is a kind of disease characterized by generalized pain. It is not uncommon in clinic. It is easy to occur in women. The prevalence of fibromyalgia syndrome in foreign population is 2%, of which the prevalence rate of male and female is 0.5% and 3.4%, respectively. In rheumatology clinic, the proportion of fibromyalgia syndrome is as high as 15.17%, second only to osteoarthritis.fibromyalgia syndrome was first described as "muscle rheumatism" in the early 1800s. However, more than 200 years later, fibromyalgia is still a mystery to a large extent. Clinically, there are many misunderstandings about the symptoms leading to fibromyalgia syndrome and how to treat it.01 the pain of fibromyalgia syndrome is an illusion, not a real misunderstanding! In general, it can be difficult to measure because everyone has different tolerance to pain.as a result, there are often some of the most common misconceptions about fibromyalgia, which may be the patient's hallucinogenic pain.in fact, neither rheumatologists nor patients with fibromyalgia syndrome agree with this statement."the most common misconception about fibromyalgia (in the medical community and in society as a whole) is that 'everything is just your imagination'."said Dr. donnica Moore, head of sapphire women's health."although we do not know the exact mechanism of fibromyalgia, we do know that it is a diffuse complex pain syndrome characterized by muscle tenderness on both sides of the body, known as the trigger point."Dr Moore added:" sometimes this situation may not start for an obvious reason.in other cases, secondary fibromyalgia is caused by chronic sleep deprivation, viral infection, Lyme disease, arthritis, hypothyroidism or other conditions."Charlene Hoffman, a patient diagnosed with fibromyalgia syndrome in 2014, confessed that her friends, including some doctors, had told her that the symptoms of systemic pain might be hallucinations, but Charlene insisted on believing in her own feelings.in 2011, the rheumatology branch of the Chinese Medical Association issued the diagnosis and treatment guidelines for fibromyalgia syndrome (hereinafter referred to as the "guidelines") based on the survey data of Chinese rheumatologists' understanding of fibromyalgia syndrome, the main problems faced by China's fibromyalgia syndrome education were pointed out as follows: (1) lack of awareness of disease diagnosis methods, lack of awareness of fibromyalgia syndrome Some doctors think that fibromyalgia syndrome is not a "real" disease, and doctors have little understanding of the pathogenesis of the disease; ③ lack of attention to patients with fibromyalgia syndrome.in fact, fibromyalgia syndrome is not an exclusive disease, but has its own clinical characteristics. If there is no objective evidence of organic disease through physical examination or laboratory examination, it is necessary to be highly alert to the possibility of fibromyalgia syndrome."lack of objective clinical indicators" brings difficulties to the accurate diagnosis of fibromyalgia syndrome.the diagnostic methods of fibromyalgia syndrome have been constantly updated and adjusted in the past 20 years.02 fibromyalgia syndrome only affects the elderly, especially women ■ misunderstanding! According to the National Institute of arthritis, musculoskeletal and dermatology (NIAMS), 80% - 90% of the people diagnosed with fibromyalgia syndrome are women.however, it is a common rheumatic disease and can also affect men and young people. those with fibromyalgia say that this widely accepted myth will make it more difficult to deal with the disease every day. "the first (misunderstanding) I overcame was' you won't get fibromyalgia syndrome at such a young age '. People's understanding of this disease tends to be that it occurs in middle-aged or child-bearing age women, or it is simply taken out of context as "female specific disease". "said Emily trimnal, a 28 year old freelance writer who had fibromyalgia syndrome at the age of 13. also clearly pointed out that the incidence rate of fibromyalgia syndrome is about 2%-8%, of which incidence rate of female is about 3 times that of men. fibromyalgia syndrome can occur in patients of all ages. 03 the pain of fibromyalgia syndrome is minimal and does not affect daily life ■ misunderstanding! For some people with fibromyalgia syndrome, the pain may be very serious, accompanied by fatigue, sleep disorders, morning stiffness, depression, anxiety and other mental symptoms, greatly reduce the quality of life of patients, and even affect the normal study, work and life. studies have confirmed that fibromyalgia syndrome is "central nervous system related pain disorder", and "central sensitization" is the main pathogenesis of fibromyalgia syndrome. The onset of fibromyalgia syndrome has genetic tendency and is affected by the living environment (social and psychological factors) of patients. patients with fibromyalgia syndrome have "exaggerated" clinical manifestations which are "inconsistent" with the physical signs. there is evidence of abnormal central pain in patients. the existing evidence shows that fibromyalgia syndrome is related to the amplification of pain signals in peripheral and central nervous system, and reduces the effect of pain inhibition pathway. Abnormal amplification of pain signal at central level is the main reason. that is to say, the pain of patients with fibromyalgia syndrome is magnified pathologically. 04 in general, fibromyalgia syndrome has these characteristics and generalized pain. the pain is all over the limbs, neck, waist and back. It is mainly pain and distension. It is sometimes mild and sometimes severe. The symptoms of mental tension and rainy days will aggravate. There is no redness or swelling in the pain area; fatigue and fatigue; sleep disorder; accompanied by anxiety and depression. "comorbidity" phenomenon. fibromyalgia syndrome can occur alone or coexist with other diseases. Rheumatoid arthritis, Sjogren's syndrome, ankylosing spondylitis, osteoarthritis and other rheumatic diseases as well as anxiety disorder, depression, tumor, etc. the diagnosis of fibromyalgia syndrome does not exclude the diagnosis of other diseases. there was no obvious abnormality in clinical examination. the patients were often checked in different hospitals for many times, including routine examinations of hematuria, liver and kidney function, as well as immune tests such as rheumatoid factor, antinuclear antibody spectrum, erythrocyte sedimentation rate, immunoglobulin, and so on. the treatment of fibromyalgia syndrome aims to improve the long-term quality of life of patients. It is necessary to consider the "comprehensive treatment plan", which is combined with drug treatment and non drug treatment management. A variety of combined drug treatment is given priority to, supplemented by non drug treatment. the guideline points out that 71.8% of doctors think that there is no effective treatment for fibromyalgia syndrome, and nearly 80% of doctors encounter difficulties in the treatment of patients with fibromyalgia syndrome, and the treatment effect is poor. Nearly half of the doctors give the reason for "lack of effective treatment drugs". in the survey, antidepressants, non steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs and psychotherapy are the most commonly used methods in the treatment of fibromyalgia syndrome. < br / < br / < br / < br / < br / < br / < br / < br / < br / < br / < br / < br / < br / < br / < br / < br / < br / < br / < br / < br / < br / < br / < br / < br / < br / < br / < br / < br / < br / < br / < br / < br / < br / < br / < br / < br / < br / < br / < br / < br / < br / References: [1] Crawford, L.J.
