During the meeting, Chongqing Guokang Animal Welfare Research Institute was officially established, which is the first private non-profit social welfare scientific research institution focusing on animal welfare science and technology research in China, and Sun Zhongchao, executive deputy secretary-general of the National Animal Health and Food Safety Innovation Alliance, concurrently serves as the president of the
institute.
